Pause!


Are you always in the middle of something? Are you normally stuck with a pile of unfinished assignments? Do you stress out often while completing your daily tasks? Is it natural for you to break down in the middle of a regular conversation? If you answer ‘yes’ even to a single question, then you need to take this article a bit more seriously than your own life!

If you find yourself saying ‘there is no time for a break’, trust me on this one, you DEFINITELY need a break!



Taking a break doesn’t mean you have to take a 3 month vacation on a faraway island or throw your phone in the lake. Taking a break doesn’t have to be this extreme. Let me guide you with this! Following are some ways in which you could press ‘pause’ in your life.  

1.      Gift yourself something!
Take yourself on a shopping spree. Buy loads of fun colours. I’m sure your wardrobe will thank you for it.

2.    Change something in your routine.
Take a different route to work today. Try a new breakfast menu. Break your usual habits and be ready for the unusual. It is the unfamiliarity that makes life all the more surprising.

3.    Try some recreational activities.
Art gives you the time you need. Allow yourself to indulge into dancing, singing, reading, painting, etc. and it will help you appreciate life more than before.

4.    Temporarily break-up with your social media.
You will be happier and more content with what you do. It will benefit your productivity. Also it will permit you to see how beautiful the world actually is.  

5.     Take a long bath.
A long hot shower aids in lifting up your mood. It helps to relax your muscle pains. It is also believed that hot baths help you in sleeping better.

Time away can really help you in relaxing for a while and de-stressing your soul.  Remember to take a break from your daily “do, do, do,…” and just BE.
