A Fashionable Extravaganza of Young Talent and Creative Designs ~
The future of fashion took
centre stage at the Grand Finale of the Max
Design Awards 2017-18, presented by India's largest value fashion brand Max Fashion. Held at National
Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi, the star-studded finale was
a fitting end to the two month long hunt for the country’s finest fashion
design talent.
The finale show was judged
by an esteemed panel of jury including Fashion Designers Ms. RINA DHAKA, Mr. ASHISH
SONI and Mr. RAHUL MISHRA along
with Mr. VASANTH KUMAR - Executive
Director, Max Fashion, Ms. KAMAKSHI KAUL
- Vice President Design, Max Fashion and Mr. MARC ROBINSON - Project Head, and Max Design Awards.
Top 3 Winners – Payal Popli (Pearl Academy, Delhi), Robin
Roy (NIFT, Patna), Tulika Ranjan (NIFT, Delhi).
Best Ramp Appeal – Rajul Goldar (Pearl Academy Delhi)
Most Popular Design – Ashneet Kohli (NIFT, Delhi)

Out of 1200 entries, 15
students were shortlisted for the grand finale where they showcased their
designs. These
finalists were given a month’s time-frame to create garments as per their
sketches for the grand finale. Each finalist presented two looks
under the theme ‘Craftivism’
(Pret
and Couture) to an audience that included the jury and invited influencers
of the fashion media.
