6 Lessons Learned Through Blogging

It has been over a year now when I decided to start Bits and Pieces, and since then the journey has been quite a roller coaster. Blogging has been fun and I’m grateful for the tons of knowledge that it has delivered to me.

Today I decide to share few tips and tricks that would help everyone who is preparing themselves to hop onto this ride!

1.    Nothing succeeds like failure
When I first started blogging, I realised the easier it looks, the tougher it gets. I knew what failure tasted like when the initial few posts just didn’t work.

2.    Keep learning
Learning is CONSTANT. You are introduced to newer ways, techniques and tricks every single day. Don’t shy away from them. Instead, indulge in them.

3.    Editing is underrated
However good your write-up maybe, it won’t get the response it deserves if the editing is crappy. Editing is important and is a task that demands your absolute focus.

4.    Positivity comes handy!
Surely it is not always sunny and bright when you start blogging. There are times when you feel stuck or lack the required motivation. During such moments, it is necessary that you de-stress your mind and avoid being negative. What’s life without a few glitches anyway!

5.    Discipline is the key
If you want to be good at something, do more of it. The key to discipline is to become a creature of habit. By writing every day even if it’s not creative, you will gain the discipline required to sit and write for hours. After all, it’s hard to beat a person who doesn’t give up at all.

6.    Authenticity must be your middle name
The world has enough imitators. What it needs is originality and authentic work. Be yourself and you are already ahead than you think!

Hope this turns out to be helpful.
Good luck!
